Questions about spend analytics

Do I need the other modules for spend analytics to be useful?

Today, yes: figures come from the platform's own records, so the more modules you run, the more it sees. Department budgets, spend and savings are live now, always computed and never typed in. Running analytics on imported spend alone, for teams that buy only this module, is coming next.

How is a saving defined?

Negotiated saving is the benchmark or budgeted price minus the final negotiated price, per event. It becomes committed when a PO or contract is issued at that price, and realised when a matched invoice is paid at it. Each stage is shown separately, so a claimed saving is never confused with a banked one.

Can I drill from a total to the documents behind it?

Yes, that is the design: any department, vendor or category total opens the requisitions, purchase orders and matched invoices it was computed from. Nothing on a dashboard is typed in. The drill-down is shown on sample data today; the department view with its computed figures is live.

Can you share savings percentages from your customers?

No. iProcure is pre-launch, and we quote no customer ROI or savings figures. What we can show is the mechanism: how a saving is defined, how it is tracked through three stages, and how every number traces to a document. We would rather earn the number with you as a design partner.
